Abigail Angel
 This is Abigail Angel, a one year old Pit Bull mix. This little angel was the victim of shocking, barbaric abuse and was inexplicably set on fire. She was brought to the Lancaster Shelter where Karma Rescue heard of her tragic story. We immediately transported Abigail to our local animal hospital where she received intensive care for her injuries including second and third degree burns through out her body.
Abigail Update:
We know many of you are anxious to hear how our Abigail is doing. Abigail did find her way into a loving, permanent home. She spends her days in sunny Chatsworth with her new brother, Dylan. They make quite a pair! Whether lazing on the sofa or frolicking in the backyard, Abigail is part of a wonderful family.
Abigail has had two additional surgeries performed requiring skin grafts. It has been a long road to recovery, but she is well on her way thanks to the generous care and support of our donors and volunteers.
Unfortunately, the perpetrators of this heinous crime were never caught, but we did prove that through determination, will and strength we can make a difference and build a better world for our companion animals. Just look at Abigail...

More About the Cody Fund
The Cody Fund is an on-going initiative established to care for and rehabilitate those dogs with special needs. As a Los Angeles area rescue, we at times come across a dog that requires specialized attention and intense medical care. Whether it is the result of neglect, abuse or congenital issues, Karma Rescue feels compelled to take action in these cases.
We would not be able to step in and help without the increased financial support and assistance of our donors. We rely on your generosity to rescue these dogs and find them loving, permanent homes.
